don’t head out with the wrong gear.
There’s nothing worse than heading out on an adventure and not having the proper gear. Here’s a packing list of everything I brought on the trip. Each item on the list links to the item online for your easy purchase!
BAGS ON BAGS ON BAGS
- Filson Medium Field Duffle (Pictured above)
This duffle is hands down one of my favourites. The quality is great, the space is unreal and I get compliments on it wherever I go. This is my go-to weekender bag!
- Arc’teryx Granville Day Pack
A reliable day pack with comfortable straps and waterproof. It’s a great city bag too, so I get A LOT of use out of it.
- Peak Design Everyday 30L Camera Backpack
For a number of years, I was holding off on buying a proper camera bag – this was becoming problematic. This bag is comfortable, convenient, keeps my gear organized and became a favourite pack…very quickly.
come out on top
- Arc’teryx BETA SV Jacket
Before you get on my case about the price of this jacket, I get it…BUT I also know what it’s like to spend more money on multiple jackets that don’t work or don’t hold up. You’ll buy this jacket once and never need another. It’s GoreTex Pro, which will keep you dry, comfortable and warm on those nasty days.
- Arc’teryx Cerium LT Hoody
I used to complain about being cold until I had this. If you don’t have a down jacket, do yourself a favour and invest in one. This also fits so well underneath my BETA SV jacket on cold, wet days in the backcountry.
- Patagonia Houdini Full Zip Jacket
For those days where the wind just doesn’t let up. This jacket is SUPER lightweight, packs really well and is great all your climbing, trail running, and backpacking adventures. Note: this is weather resistant, but not waterproof!
- Lululemon Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve Crew
This has honestly been my go to top for years. Travel, workouts, adventures – you name it. This seamless top gets all of the love, year round.
SEE HAPPY
- SPY Sunglasses
#SeeHappy is the truest campaign I’ve ever come across. Everything always looks 100% better with SPY glasses, and protecting your eyes is a must. Do yourself a favour, stop wearing fakes!Fav style: LOMA w/ Happy Lens.
love at first tight
- Lululemon Tight Stuff Tight II
Pockets in the right places, tights that don’t fall down and mild compression that stabilizes my muscles. My go-to pair of tights these days.
- Nike Zonal Strength Running Tight
Targeted support, complete comfort and secured storage. These tights were love at first slip on.
Can You Kick it?
- Blundstone – 500 Series Original Boot
Sturdy, comfortable, waterproof and easy to slip on and off. This is my go-to travel boot that also gets plenty of use in the city.
technincally speaking
- Canon 6D
This is what I use to shoot my photos, along with iPhone.
Lenses? 24-105 + 50 mm
- Creative Labs – MUVO 2 Bluetooth Speakers
I never travel without speakers. They’re great for wherever you set up your temporary home; on the beach, out on hikes…wherever. The sound on these is great and they don’t break the bank.
- Creative Labs – Outlier Sports Headphones
Bluetooth, light weight, amazing battery life and they’re sweat proof!
