REVIEW: Boutique Hotels In The Fraser Valley

When I think of quick weekend escapes and local staycations, I usually end up in Tofino or Whistler. Since moving to BC, it has never been very common for me to pack up and drive down Highway to explore more of the Fraser Valley.

That recently changed for me.

You know how much I enjoy exploring luxurious boutique hotels and sharing my favourite ones for you to explore and today I’m going to do just that. Introducing two unique, luxurious, and boutique hotels for you to explore in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.

  • ROWENA’S INN
I had originally discovered these cabins through good ol’ Instagram. Situated alongside a river next to the Sandpiper Golf Course, these contemporary cabins are a cute spot for a girl’s weekend, a golf trip and are very popular for weddings.

    Pet Friendly: Yes.
What I Loved: I loved the cabin feel with modern upgrades. The beds were comfortable and I really enjoyed taking photos here. Wood burning fireplaces and a beautiful scenic backdrop are the perfect place for quiet mornings on the balcony for coffee.
Important Notes: The cabin didn’t come with a full kitchen, so, unfortunately, we were not actually able to cook our meals. There is a restaurant at the golf course that guests have access to! The cabins are situated in what feels like the parking lot of the golf course. It’s important to note that if you are not playing golf there isn’t really anything to do onsite, you will be doing a lot of driving to excursions or activites in the area.

  • THE LODGE ON HARRISON LAKE
The experience at The Carriage House at The Lodge On Harrison Lake was incredible. This two-level house boasts a private and unobstructed view of Harrison Lake while comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests.

    Pet Friendly: Yes.
What I Loved: The view, the balconies, the soaker tub, the space of the place…everything! It’s refreshing to stay at a property that can boast about SPACE.
Important Notes: The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 murphy bed and a 1.5 bathrooms. The unit is also has a full kitchen, two balconies, a BBQ and access to a private beachfront where you can have fires and take out equipment for water activities. Guests are a 3 minute drive into the town of Harisson Hot Springs and less than a 10 min drive to the resort.
